This historic settlement, where the first victim of the Romanian army from the First World War was registered, located on the border of Brasov and Arges counties, has two unique villages in terms of settlement, landscapes, air and water. One of them is Sirnea village located at an altitude of 1244 m, designated the first tourist village in Romania in 1968 and characterized by tourists of that time as "joy for the eyes and soul."
Also in the village of Sirnea is the first ski slope in Romania, equipped with night, which has a length of 600m, being perfect for beginners and leisure. Here is also a Museum of Wonders where, in its seven rooms, is housed a miniature history of this mountain village.
The locality which is said to be the highest tourist locality in Romania, the village of Fundatica, located at an altitude of 1360 m, offers its tourists, to visit, the Old Orthodox Church , made of wood. the patron saint "Assumption" and was built in 1830 and also in this village there is a crater full of water, called by the locals "Lake without bottom" which connects with another tourist attraction of the area, Uluce Cave .
These two tourist objectives today, during the outlaws' time, represented two strategic points in their activity, the cave being used as a hiding place and the Bottomless Lake was the place where they threw everything that was left behind by the boyars dispossessed of goods and fortunes.

Also, lovers of objectives, walks and mountain trails, have a choice, here being the ideal place to go to the Dambovicioara valley with its Dambovicioara Gorges, Dambovicioarei Cave and Brusturet Chalet; the routes of the Piatra Craiului Massif, of the Leaota Massif and last but not least of the Bucegi Massif with its Natural National Park.

Location
Fundata, which is located 50 kilometers from Brasov, can be reached on DN 73, Brasov-Rasnov-Bran-Moieciu de Jos-Fundata. Tourists coming from the Capital can reach Fundata either through Brasov or through Arges County, through Rucar via Targoviste, being the shortest route of only 170 kilometers.
There would be variants on the highway to Pitesti or Ploiesti, both of about 200 kilometers.
